Physical Signs:
- The collar on the animal is so tight it has inflicted a wound around the neck.
- Open Wounds, signs of healed would or ongoing injuries and/or illness that has not been treated.
- extreme thinness or emaciation- bones may be visible
- weakness, limping or inability to stand or walk normally.
- visible signs of extreme drowsiness or confusion
- Access insects around the body or induries
Environmental Signs:
- Pets are tied up outside alone for long periods of time, with no water or food, or food and water that is unsanitary.
- pets are kept outside in inclement weather with no access to shelter
- Animals are housed in kennels or cages (very often crowded in with other animals) that are too small to allow them to stand, turn around and make normal movements possibly with too many other animals
- Pets are kept in an area littered with feces, garbage, or other objects that has the potential harm them
